Open Source Project

Open QKD Security

Platform for numerical evaluation of secret key rates for general Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocols

Initiated by the Optical Quantum Communication Theory Group at the
Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo

Objective:

Enable a wider class of researchers to calculate correctly and accurately secret key rates for QKD protocols

Enlarge the group of researchers contributing to the quest of finding optimal QKD key rates by separating the tasks of protocol design from the security analysis.

Bring in expertise from the wider research community, such as from numerical convex optimization, to improve the convergence of the underlying numerical methods

(requires MATLAB and CVX2.0 to run)

This is a pre-release aimed at users who are familiar with QKD security analysis. Future releases will lower the threshold for using our software. We will restructure our software in preparation for these releases and welcome your feedback!

We will provide here the link to our updated github page the moment the software package is going live
